With the „Uri-Stier“, a traditional regatta took place on the weekend of 4. /5. July on Lake Uri. In the Racer-Class, the Esseboats-Family was represented by two Esse 750 and five Esse 850 and caught great attention thanks to the overall victory.

Despite torrid heat the famous thermal breeze was able to push through, at least on Saturday. Four races could be sailed in attractive conditions over the whole weekend. With a series of 2-1-2-4, the Esse 750-Team of SUI 25 with Arnaud Gavairon in the end clearly won the overall ranking. The second Esse 750, the team of SUI 7 with Stefan Schuchter, ranked fourth and missed the podium by only 1 point.

This outstanding performance by the Esse 750-Teams was underlined by good results of the Esse 850 whereof four teams also classified within the top 10 (above all the SUI 125, team “Aspra” with Ralf Windholz, in 3rd position).

A truly successful prelude to the first class-regatta of the Esse 750 from 17th – 19th of July 2015 at St. Moritz.
