The traditional long distance race from Zürich to Rapperswil was the prelude to this years Castle Cup. Seven Esse 750 had to share the starting line with 109 other boats.

The fleet enjoyed variable southwesterly winds and sunny weather. SUI 033 was first to reach the finishing line after 4hrs and 48min. Three exciting up-and-down races followed on Sunday, a perfect breeze of 6 -12 knts was blowing, and the city of Rapperswil provided a scenic backdrop. In the end the SUI 025  Stefan Schuchter and Marc Huber won very close to the SUI 001 (Florian and Tobias Haufe, John Körtner) and the SUI 033 (Josef Schuchter, Chris Glaser). It was a great sporting weekend and everyone is looking forward to the next edition of the Castle Cup.
