On 7./8. of October 2017, the last official Esseboats event of this season took place in Thalwil as a joint regatta of the Esse 850 and Esse 750 International Class. Five Esse 750 teams from Switzerland sailed a tight but fair and very enjoyable regatta in front of a spectacular setting (see photos).

Despite light winds throughout both days on the water a sizeable total of 5 races could be sailed by all classes. An impressive series of 5 straight bullets of the SUI 025 with Florian Haufe was obviously rewarded with the overall victory of the Esse 750 Thalwil Cup 2017. The SUI 033 with Esse-Mastermind Josef Schuchter finished the regatta in second place (8 points), followed by the SUI 024 with Wladimir Leuenberger in third (12 points). Time to thank the organizing committee for hosting and pampering the Esse 750 International Class at the Thalwil Cup 2017. Time also to thank all of the participating Esse 750 teams at the three official events of this year. We are excited about the development of our class and already looking forward to next season.
