Dear Esse750 sailors
I hope you all started well into the new year. Fortunately, more than half of the sail-free time is over for most of us. We are already looking forward to the sailing season 2018 with windy weekends, extensive professional talk with sailing colleagues, relaxing evenings on the lake and especially exciting regattas!

Also in 2018, 3 regattas of the Esse750 International Class will be held. As in recent years, in addition to the sailing and sporting challenges, the focus will be on an attractive environment that allows for enjoyment and friendships. Another highlight is the ESSE 750 ST.MORITZ CUP in front of an impressive mountain scenery and with (mostly) constant Maloja wind again this year. Of course we hope that we can increase the number of participants in St. Moritz again - we are counting on you!
Of course, we hope for a lively and active participation in the different events of our class. For the upcoming season we have the following events planned:
· On the 3rd of March 2018 we will start with a fondue evening together with the Esse 850 IC in Segel Club Stäfa, organized by Schuchter Sportboot AG (SAVE THE DATE - invitation follows).
· On 14./15. of April 2018 we organize a training weekend in Stäfa, focusing on Esse 750 - Segeltrimm, led by Arnaud Gavairon of TOP SAILS (SAVE THE DATE - invitation follows).
· At Pentecost, ie 19./20. In May 2018, the Esse 750 Castle Cup will take place, with the long-distance regatta from Zurich to Rapperswil on Saturday and triangular regattas in front of the historic town of Rapperswil on Sunday.
· From 13.-15.July 2018 we are visiting the sailing club St. Moritz and have booked the lake almost for us alone. We look forward to the 4th Esse 750 St. Moritz Cup, hopefully again in such fantastic conditions as last year.
· The season finale we do again together with the Esse 850 IC at the Lions Cup in Thalwil on 6./7. October 2018.
On behalf of the board, I wish you all a good start into the new sailing season and I look forward to meeting you at one of the Esse 750 events - hopefully already at the cozy fondue evening at the beginning of March.
