Six Esse 750 competed in the Esse 750 Castle Cup 2016, consisting of one long distance race on Saturday and four up&down races on Sunday, on the Pentecost weekend on Lake Zürich. The long distance race from Zürich to Rapperswil suffered light wind and lots(!) of rain. On Sunday, the fleet in return enjoyed four nice up&down races in 4-6knts of breeze in front of the picture-perfect scene of Rapperswil.

The overall victory of the Esse 750 Castle Cup 2016 was claimed by the SUI 001 with Thilo Ritzi. He won the long distance race on Saturday and did not let his advantage slip away on Sunday. The Podium was completed by the SUI 025 with Stefan Schuchter in second and the SUI 021 with Josef Schuchter in third position. The final ranking.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that two Esse 750 occupied the first two places in the S6b-ranking of the long distance race on Saturday (around about 90 participating yachts in total). In the end, the successful Esse 750 Castle Cup 2016 gave all participants every reason to be happy.
